Wikibotanica

Welcome to Wikibotanica, a work in progress

The goal of this project is to provide straight-forward identification of plants worldwide. At present, it uses formal botanical terms, so interest will be limited. It will expand to be useful for most people once the initial research/development work attains a functional system (and a functional website). You are very welcome to look around and my email address is on the About page if you wish to write.

Listed below are all the plants currently in the database (68 so far). Initially I'm using these easily identified and available plants to establish the overall plant and database schema (structure). Please note, there may be a few mistakes with these plants as I don't have a proper input system as yet, and some plant data is from personal observation. Select a plant below to see the current full record.

For small screens, the site currently works best in landscape mode.
